At JTIG, we are fully committed to integrating gender equality into every aspect of our work, especially in the context of EU-funded programs like Horizon Europe, Interreg, and other collaborative EU initiatives. We recognize that gender equality is not just a fundamental right, but a key driver of innovation, research, and sustainable development. As a participant in these programs, we pledge to actively promote gender equality in all stages of the project lifecycle— from planning to implementation and evaluation.

By advancing gender equality in Horizon Europe, Interreg, and other EU programs, we aim to build a more inclusive, innovative, and sustainable future for all. We believe that empowering individuals of all genders in research and innovation is essential for achieving the EU’s overarching goals of equality, justice, and prosperity.

We are dedicated to:
Ensuring equal participation: We will strive to create an inclusive environment where
individuals of all genders are represented equally in leadership, decision-making, and project
roles, ensuring that both women and men have the opportunity to contribute meaningfully
to the success of each initiative.

Promoting gender-sensitive research and innovation: We will support projects that consider
gender differences and aim to address the specific needs and challenges faced by different
genders in society, ensuring that innovation is accessible to all and benefits everyone.

Combating gender biases: We will work to eliminate gender bias and discrimination in
recruitment, project activities, and evaluation processes. We will also ensure that gender
equality is considered when distributing resources and funding within these programs.

Fostering an inclusive and supportive environment: Our commitment extends to providing
equal opportunities for career development, training, and mentorship, particularly for
underrepresented groups. We will ensure that all team members, regardless of gender, are
provided with the tools they need to succeed and thrive.

Monitoring and reporting progress: We will actively monitor and report on gender equality
outcomes within our projects and ensure that gender-sensitive indicators are integrated into
project assessments, reflecting the impact of our work on both gender equality and
innovation.
